Vegas, Day 2

Day 2 at Las Vegas has been a lot of fun. We started out with a walk to Circus Circus (about 20 minutes), where we had our company all-hands meeting. We discussed the staggering growth we’ve had in the past year and mapped out a strategy to continue our success in the new year. I found this to be very inspiring and look forward to the coming months and years to see where we go. I really feel like our leadership is on the right path.

They were not quite ready for us when we first got to Circus Circus, so we were taken on a tour of some of the haunted maizes that are running in the evenings. As a somewhat sensitive individual, I was a little worried about this, but turned out to be pretty entertaining and our tour guide seemed very enthusiastic.

After the team meeting, we moved on to team building activities led by our haunted house tour guide. These activities included bumper cars, a laser maize, and basketball. My team didn’t do too well, but we had fun. The guide did a very good job applying the activities to our daily work, making the point that when we communicate with each other we should focus on the individual we are communicating with instead of focusing on the end goal.

Once these activities were done, we had free reign of the Adventuredome and rode the roller coaster at least 6 times. The last car was definitely the most fun. We then came back to the hotel and relaxed for a few hours before our company dinner.

Before our dinner, we had company pictures. These took longer than expected (as pictures normally do) and then we headed off to Canonita for a great team dinner. I had the Pork dish, which was amazing, but not as good as the dessert. I’m still not exactly sure what it was, but it was an amazing combo of fruit, light cake and yogurt.

Anyways, signing of for now, feel free to check out the pics below.
